ll tracks previously unreleased except Jr Walker & The All Stars "Riding High On Love". What a treat for Motown fans! Most tracks mid to late sixties and the quality of some of the never before heard tracks is brilliant. The two instrumental tracks by Earl Van Dyke are worth the cover price alone! Highlights are many, in particular "I Like Everything About You" Contours, "On The Avenue" Jimmy Ruffin, "If You Ever Get Your Hands On Love" Gladys Knight & The Pips, all from CD one. Brenda Holloway never sounded better with "Who You Gonna Run To". Jimmy Ruffin "I Know How To Love Her" on this unmistakable Motown track. Kim Weston on this unreleased track "Dont Let Me Down". J J Barnes with "(Tell Me) Ain't it The Truth" the surprise gem of the bunch. My personal pick the Isley Brothers "A Weakspot In My Heart" can be found on CD two. Booklet with notes by Paul Nixon (I needed a magnifying glass to read it!) Issued on Tamla Motown 544 619-2 double CD limited edition slipcase |
